About
About Orbit Learn
Orbit Learn is the reading section of Orbit, the habit tracker where every healthy action powers a living Orb. This page says who publishes the guides, what each one has to meet before it goes live, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
Who publishes Orbit Learn
Orbit Learn is published by Orbit, an iPhone app made by Just Brands, LLC. Guides carry the byline Orbit Editorial rather than one person’s name, because they are produced by a process and not by a single writer. The standards below are what that process is held to, and what you can hold us to.
What every guide has to meet
Every guide passes an automated check before it can be published. It has to:
- cite at least two sources, each with a link, listed at the end of the guide;
- run between 700 and 2,600 words, under headings a reader can scan;
- avoid naming medical conditions as labels, because Orbit does not diagnose;
- avoid promising outcomes: a guide describes what the evidence says and never what will happen to you;
- avoid medical instruction, such as telling you to start or stop a medication;
- avoid body-shaming or appearance-based framing; it is about food, sleep, movement and patience.
How guides are made
Guides are drafted with the help of AI, working from the sources listed at the end of each one, and checked automatically against the standards above before they are published. Unless a guide says otherwise, it has not been reviewed by a clinician.
How we use sources
We lean on professional-society statements, government health agencies and peer-reviewed research rather than blog posts and press coverage, and every guide lists what it relied on at the end. Photographs come from Pexels and are credited to the photographer on the page.
What Orbit sells, and what it does not
Orbit is a habit-tracking app, and every guide ends with the one Orbit feature that relates to its topic. That is the whole commercial relationship: Orbit Learn carries no third-party advertising and no affiliate links.
Updates and corrections
Each guide shows when it was published and, when it changes materially, when it was updated. If you spot a mistake or an out-of-date claim, tell us through the support page so it can be fixed.
Not medical advice
Orbit Learn is general information about everyday habits. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, therapist or dietitian. If something here worries you, or you have a condition or take medication, talk to a qualified professional first.
